Touched Echo / Markus Kison
Touch, Body
"The visitors of the Brühl's Terrace (Dresden, Germany) are taken back in time to the night of the terrible air raid on 13th February 1945. In their role as a performer they put themselves into the place of the people who shut their ears away from the noise of the explosions. While leaning on the balustrade the sound of airplanes and explosions is transmitted from the swinging balustrade through their arm directly into into the inner ear (bone conduction)" ... Audience / rAndom International, Chris O'Shea
"When members of the audience occupy the space, the mirrors inquisitively follow someone that they find interesting. Having chosen their subject, they all synchronise and turn their heads towards them. Suddenly that person can see their reflection in all of the mirrors. They will watch this person until they become disinterested, then either seek out another subject or return to their private chatter. The collective behaviour of the objects is beyond the control of the viewer, as it is left entirely to their discretion to let go of their subject... " Visit project page

THUTO (The Human Touch Orchestra) / Studio Total, 1scale1
"THUTO is built to allow people to learn more about electric conductivity in a playful manner. With THUTO visitors can create different kinds of sounds by connecting various hand-shaped terminals on the surface of the sculpture. Visitors connect the terminals by touching them and allowing a control current to flow through their own bodies.... " Visit project page

Curvy-speedometer / Minjung Sohn, Tekjin Nam, Woohun Lee
"The Impact of Unconscious Human Behavior on Sustainable Interaction Design. Curvy-speedometer is a design of a car dash board. The main feature of the design is a deformable indicator needle. The needle indicates current speed while at the same time the curvature indicates how far the current speed is from the most fuel-efficient speed. Due to the bending shape, a driver may unconsciously adjust the driving speed... " Download article

Betris - Beter than Tetris / Nevena Stojanovic, Pradthana Jarusriboonchai and Eunjin Bae
A new way of playing famous Tetris game. Imagine you are the figure. :) Move your body left, right, down and perform gestures to place the figure on the right place. Funny Footsteps / Nevena Stojanovic
Funny footsteps is an easy way to encourage people to walk or run but at the same time to stay on their and not bicycle track. Funny footsteps are based on an observation that when people walk they often try to follow some patterns (not to step on lines, or to step on leaves).
Funny footsteps are drawn on the pedestrian path with translucent paint, so that they can be seen in dark. Footsteps are in different shapes and also on different distances so that people have to change their walking tempo and make stretches during walking in order to step on some more distant footsteps...
